Working to Improve Workers Compensation

The Manitoba Federation of Labour maintains a committee that meets on the first Monday of every month to discuss the issues rising from policy and legislation that have a negative impact on workers. This committee provides advice to the Labour Representatives on the Board of Directors of the Manitoba Workers Compensation Board and the MFL Executive Council.

The MFL has always fought for the rights of injured workers to have a system that works for them. A system that would meet their needs following an injury so they or their families have neither hardships or worries. The system must be available to all workers when they need it, where they need it and without complications.

The MFL has produced several fact sheets about Workers Compensation containing information every Manitoba worker should know. They're provided here in PDF form which you can download, view and print. Acrobat Reader or similar is of course required.

  • Steps involved in filing a WCB Claim or reporting a workplace accident even if no time loss results.
  • It is your right to appeal a denial of WCB benefits or problems involving rehabilitation services.
