Workers Compensation Board Survey

The Manitoba Federation of Labour is conducting a six month special project to investigate and research employer abuse of the Workers Compensation system in Manitoba workplaces. Click here to learn more about the project.

The survey below has been developed to gain information on instances of employers suppressing WCB claims and improper use of Return to Work programs. The results of our findings will be published in a policy paper in the near future.

Please take the few minutes needed to answer the following three questions. All individual responses will be kept confidential

1. Does your workplace have a rewards program for not having lost time accidents? If so, what does it look like (prizes, bonus pay etc.)? Do you think the program influences workers decision to report injuries?

2. Does your employer's Return to Work program result in useful work?

3. Has your employer has ever tried to stop a WCB claim? How?
