Victory in Brandon

A tentative agreement reached on October 15 brought to an end a 17-day strike by the Brandon University Faculty Association when the university staff finally received what they had been seeking all long. A fair contract offer from the university.

Joe Dolecki, an Economics Professor who served on the union's negotiating committee, said "Although I cannot reveal the details of the settlement until ratification, I can tell you that we won. Solidarity was the key to our success."

Dolecki went on to express his appreciation to the MFL and other unions which came out to show their support during the strike.
